Here they are! The Anderson-Jones wedding invitations! Pretty great, right? They were certainly not easy to design (as both my fiance and I are designers) but we finally came up with something that felt like ‘us’, mainly combining elements of concepts we both came up with independently. They are letterpress printed invitations from Ginger Tree Press, a business run by a fellow designer who graduated from the same college we attended. My favorite part was getting a sneak peek at the printing process during our press check. It was so cool to see each card being printed. She did such a great job. Here is a video I took while we were there…These invitations may look a little informal, but we decided to do it this way because we chose not to send Save the Dates. We decided a long time ago that we were going to do online RSVP to save money and in an effort of information consolidation. This ment that we didn’t need a lot of extra cards to be printed so a one card format fit the bill. Also, as a couple, we aren’t that formal so having something simple and fun made the most sense. We are both very happy with the results. We have a few leftovers which will be amazing keepsakes. Sending these out a few weeks ago was a big turning point that made this wedding feel like it was just around the corner.
