At the Chef’s Table

Last week I participated in a very unique experience, one that any foodie would die over. Christopher and I met up with the Tweet Up Kalamazoo group at the Italian restaurant Zazios for a dinner. Not only was the food amazing, but we got to watch it being prepared for us. Our chef, Chef John, told us stories and gave us some of the history behind the food he was preparing. It was almost like we were guests on Emeril Live, except that there was no “BAM!” Haha! This event was even more fun because it was with a group of people who also tweeted and instagramed constantly, so no one gave you the evil eye for documenting everything possible. I can’t wait to do more events with this group.

This event also gave me to chance to get dressed up for a nice dinner, which I don’t do often enough! I got this dress from ModCloth a few weeks ago and I thought this would be the perfect time to take it out and style it. I absolutely love the color blocking and bold chevron pattern. The material is very soft, comfortable and flowy which you really start to appreciate after eating a large meal. It looked flattering all night. I can’t wait to wear this dress again! I wore a loose cardigan to add a little more texture (and to stay warm). I kept the jewelry simple and added my vintage Coach purse and very comfortable platforms from JB & Me to finish the look. Also, this pair of sunglasses from Target have been my favorites all summer, but shhhh! Don’t tell the other pairs…

I also want to share some of my instagram photos from the evening. Follow along with me, my user name is abbyabbyabbyy. I couldn’t stop taking photos, everything was as photogenic as it was delicious. Enjoy!
